3-5-2.

For Kivu's men, Provadel in goal, backline of Bastogne, Akanji and Bissek, Carlos Augusto on the left, Diouf on the right, midfielder of Mkhitaryan, Cialinoglu and Barella, with Turam and Desposito starting up front together.
J
31:32JakeHOST
Rotated side, obviously, because of midweek action.
J
31:35JakeHOST
4-3-3 for Vanoli's men, De Gea in goal, backline of Jimenez, Dragosin, Pongracic and Valdapinas.

Maybe I misread the report and was saying one or the other, but I would expect Provadel to start Venice.
A
37:38AndrewHOST
To your point, I think backline, you need to go with some combination of Bissek, Akanji, and then one of Augusto or Bastoni.
A
37:45AndrewHOST
I think that's basically your only choice right now.
A
37:48AndrewHOST
There's not much else there.
A

more traditional number nine.
A
42:38AndrewHOST
So I'm not scared of him.
A
42:40AndrewHOST
I do think, you know, if we put, I was going to say a kanji, but let me pivot that to Bissek near Ramos.
A
42:47AndrewHOST
I feel pretty good about ability to mark him.

So I'm hoping there's some rotation there.
S
36:29SeanHOST
Unless Kivu plans on playing Akanji, Bissek, and Augusto in the back three for three games straight.
S
36:38SimiHOST
Yeah, not straight, but I did mention Bissek as central centre-back last week, so I still hope to get my wish.
S
36:44SimiHOST
Bastoni was good, but we know Bastoni needs to be left centre-back.
S
36:48SeanHOST
Yeah.

I think mostly people see him as a center back.
C
45:58Chuck SmithHOST
And with him, I think you can look at the competition and say, what? why can't he beat out Jan-Aurel Bissek? Why can't he beat out Voldemort Anton? I mean, he's got possibilities to do it.
C
46:09Chuck SmithHOST
And you could look at the United States roster, too, and you could say, well, it's got to be easier to break in there, right? Yeah, definitely.

But it also comes with a set of challenges.

Ten-Man Inter Milan Dig Deep at the San Siro to Claim Unforgettable 1-0 Victory Over Shakhtar Donetsk

S
6:05speaker_4NARRATOR
Sensing a landmark away victory, Shakhtar poured forward, using numerical superiority to pin Inter back into their own half.
S
6:13speaker_4NARRATOR
Yet, rather than crumbling under the pressure, Çivu's side reorganized into a compact, rigid low block, bringing on Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Yann Aurel Bisseck to shore up the central channels and look for counter-attacking moments.
S
6:28speaker_4NARRATOR
The gamble paid off spectacularly in the 77th minute.
S

Inter launched a lightning-fast transition straight out of their defensive third, working the ball wide to substitute Mkhitaryan.

So maybe he'll start him eventually.
J
52:01JakeHOST
For Inter, it was Martinez in goal with Bastogne, Akanji and Bissek at the back, Henrique on the right, Di Marco on the left with Suchic, Zielinski and Barella in the middle, Thuram and Esposito starting together up front.
J
52:15JakeHOST
10 minutes in, Miranda dispossessed Luis Enrique, Poberga broke into the box, and he beat Martinez at the near post with the inside of his left foot.

Bastoni is nowhere near the level that he was two seasons ago.

recent um improvement recently though from that over the last few months even in the international break he was he was better than he had been but he did have a very rough spell it's more the the fact that they haven't figured out that central defender like because Akanji is not that Akanji is he's not a solid man as people seem to say he is everyone praises Akanji for me man I see you make a mistake every game Bissek as well as the centre centre-back is not exactly ideal either So they're missing that real reference point at the back.
J
57:43JakeHOST
You know what my hot take is? If you swap Milan and Inter's defence, if you had to put Milan's defence here in Gila, De Winter, Pavlovic, they would be unstoppable, is my hot take.

No Comebacks Needed, Inter 3-0 Parma
I
41:23IrfanGUEST
I, I think he'll play really well, and I think he will, um, you know, be his sort of usual self in, in being, like a, like a prime instigator of the offense.
I
41:33IrfanGUEST
Um, and then I'm looking for Bastoni and, uh, Bisseck to kind of push up and, and help out, uh, in the attack as well to sort of offer a different dimension.
I
41:42IrfanGUEST
But yeah, I can't think of anyone I really, really wanna see, um, other than the starting 11.
I
41:47IrfanGUEST
But I'm excited actually to see the starting 11, 'cause I feel like it's been forever since we have seen Inter play with sort of our best lineup, uh, in a meaningful match because of this long international break and then, you know, the Parma rotation.
