Herzler's patched-up outfit might well struggle to do that in any event if he doesn't get any of his injured players back.

William Saliba is still definitely out for the visitors, but Arteta could welcome back Piero Hinkapie, Ben White, and Christian Moschera, all of whom face late fitness tests.

Well, to that, uh, there, there were names which were very, very strongly linked towards the end of the window, Kefla.

I mean, I would say in attack we were strongly linked to Yankuba Minteh at Brighton, we- Ismaïla Sarr at Palace.

And in midfield we were linked to Lamine Camara at Lens.

Look, the, my, my point is this, is that Liverpool are linked to midfielders for a reason.

We kn- we sort of know the names of who they're after.

Can you see triggers being pulled? I mean, on a Minteh, on a Camara this January, or is it too soon?

You know, I, I just think from Liverpool's perspective, they were very lucky that Brighton ended up rejecting those 50 and 60 million pound bids for Minteh, because if they had accepted them, then, then Gakpo would've gone to Manchester City.

You know, bearing in mind that for a start, Minteh was, was out injured, I think, till, what is it, October time.

That, that would've been, you know, a disastrous decision.

And, you know, and, and quite, quite understandably, Gakpo hasn't felt

But I think, I think what isn't being made enough from obviously outside observers who don't watch Brighton week in, week out is, is Brighton are doing this without Kaoru Mitoma.

They're doing it without Yankuba Minteh.

They're doing it without Jack Hinshelwood.

They're doing it without Jorginho Rutter.

And, and I just wondered, you've got really wonderful perspective therefore on the transfer window and how it works.

Fr- first of all, from a player's point of view, when, when you are of interest to other clubs or when clubs talk to you and you are in a situation where you end up not going to a club.

I'm thinking of someone like Yankuba Minteh, who was interest- had interest from Liverpool and, and such like, and last season with Bilire as well where there was clearly interest from Manchester United and then it didn't happen for that window.

From a player's point of view, is that difficult to then try and concentrate on playing again for the same club that you're still with?
