Mm-hmm.

Well, Alan Kazdin, he's a, uh, child psychiatrist at the Yale Child Study Center, and he says about yelling, if the goal of the parent is catharsis, like I said before, the I wanna get this out of my system and I wanna show you how mad I am, yelling is definitely the way to go.

It's the best way [laughs] to show everybody how mad you are.

Yes.

As my research interest grew, my clinical interest also grew, and so I asked to train then within emergency services and within the emergency department.

I completed my residency at Yale Child Study Center in 2020, and there I focused on pedac, excuse me, pediatric psychology and worked within multiple clinical programs, including one that stepped down from the emergency department to a home-based patient and family care service.

I took the lead on multiple manuscripts, and then after graduating, I took that fellowship that was just mentioned, um, and this was an APA-accredited, um, pediatric psychology, um, post-doctoral fellowship at Brown University, where I spent half my time working with acute mental health, um, youth in the hospital and the other half of my time spent in the emergency department focusing on research.

While on fellowship and each cycle after, I wrote grants and collaborated on manuscripts.

She now was on the faculty at Yale Medical School at the time.

And Yale has this famous Yale Child Study Center, which is a center of excellence for autism and autism research.

She got diagnosed.

And then the initial wave of fake assertions came that vaccines cause autism, and it never made sense to me.

I'm talking today with Christina Cipriano, professor at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she directs the Education Collaboratory at the College of Education.

Drawing on her decade of research at the Yale Child Study Center, Dr. Cipriano's work advances inclusive and equitable social and emotional learning so that all students are seen, served, and safe to learn in schools worldwide.
