Yakult

I'm mystifying with mad tools.

These sad fools must be defeated like Yakult.

So I don't snooze.

Slip and sleep.

The car was part of a large fire in Vancouver Friday evening, which also involved a dumpster and a furniture warehouse.

The rail car now belongs to the Chilachi Prairie Railroad in Yakult, but it once belonged to the Northern Pacific Railroad.

That was...

The presidential car.

The Green River car once served as a sort of rolling presidential suite for the Northern Pacific Railroad.

Like, you know, vegetables, fermented foods for prebiotics, and then probiotics is like, you know, cultured foods like yogurt, kefir.

Um, I actually really like this product, this Japanese product called Yakult that I've, you know, drank my whole life and as a child, and I give it to my kids every single day, and, like, they drink like three of them at once.

Um, and that has like live active, um, lactobacillus in it.

Yeah.

Yakult is a-

Yeah

... is, is such a thing here as well, and I feel like it's, it's always, to me, I've kind of eye-rolled it as if it was a bit of a scam product, but you're saying it's pretty good.

I was helping my mom.

I remember I was buying Yakult.

Yakult, yes.

In the supermarket and I was selling to the clients in the salon.

Yes.

Like, Navy's digging up a hole probably full of redback spiders.

Sol's walking through the house pulling out everything from the drawers and eating snacks, and Bambi's in my makeup.

And you know what you say to me? "You shouldn't have left your makeup out." [laughs] I didn't leave it out, dude, but you put on your headphones and you had no idea you had three kids in your care.

So then I think, remember how I told you yesterday, I, I say to myself internally, I say-

Because you should.

You should go, "Are my kids having fun?" They're all having fun.

Navy loves digging, Sol loves snacks, and Bambi loves makeup.

So they're all having fun.

So cool.

And then this Florian Chain person who came up with Yakult, apparently.

Um-

That's basically probiotics, isn't it?

Yeah, yeah.

I think, I think they work in probiotics.

I'm not necessarily sure they invented Yakult.

[laughs]

One specific patented now bacteria from it.

I asked, I asked him, "How difficult is for competition to come in?" So let's say, um, Yakult or Dano, all these probiotic companies, how easy is it for them to enter the market and start producing postbiotics? And he said, "They've all turned up at my doorstep asking me how to do it, and I've had to turn them away because it is incredibly diffic- difficult, and they're gonna have to figure it out for themselves." And it took him 30 years.

So, um, I think, you know, we're probably about three years ahead of anybody else doing some major, um, discovery of postbiotics.

So when you're talking about this specific fermentation, obviously my understanding of fermentation, um, you know, is, is the basic way that we can produce fermented foods, for example.

Just get any, as long as you've got some, then that's fine." Except that's not, not how it works really, is it?

Or just, you know, I often get, "So I'll just buy Yakult."

Oof.
