Y tu mamá también

Now, uh, Cuarón was in an interesting place in his career back in 2006.

He'd already made Y Tu Mamá También, which established him internationally.

Mm-hmm.

And he had just directed Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

Okay.

Yeah.

Now, he had made, uh, uh, several Spanish films, I think three Spanish films before, and then Y- Y Mama, Y Tu Tambi- or Y Tu Mamá También kind of transitioned him-

Mm-hmm

Pero esa fue una chaquetita compartida, ¿no? Eso fue lo que contó Paul.

Como en "Y tu mamá también".

Ajá.

Bueno.

Um, I can't remember the name of the movie right now, and it's a movie I love.

Oh, Y Tu Mamá También.

Ky- uh, Max, yes.

Y Tu Mamá También.

That was gonna be-

You got it on the nose.

It would always make me cry.

Then as I aged into a grown and sexy taste, I saw Y Tu Mama Tambien for the first time when I was studying abroad in Spain, and it was incredible.

Seven, my Nordic knots rug.

I really like the way this particular rug feels under my feet.

But I did try.

His breakthrough was the coming-of-age film Y Tu Mama Tambien in 2001, which earned him a NOM for the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay.

Now, he's also done many other movies, including Children of Men, Gravity, and Roma.

And he gained a lot of prominence and backlash for directing Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

Yeah.

And Y Tu Mamá También.

And you can watch Amor Espero.

Well, I think I'll watch some other things, not just Spanish language films.

mean, fine.

But you should also watch Amor Espero.

And you should watch Y Tu Mamá También.

And what was the other one?

Also in limited release are kind of two movies that would be, you know, things that I'm sure we are very aware of, but obviously we're not huge, huge movies, like commercially.

Out in limited release now this weekend, Y Tu Mama Tambien.

Oh, yes.

Great movie from Alfonso Cuaron.
