XXX: Return of Xander Cage

Yeah, I was very excited for the rest of his career at this point when Salt and Seed came out.

I was like, "That guy's gonna just be what kinda Nicolas Cage became, the, the guy you can count on to really go hard in every movie." And I wouldn't say I'm disappointed with his career, but didn't, didn't r- turn out to the way I was thinking it was about to go

It was sometime in the '90s where I realized, oh, the guy that was Thor in Adventures in Babysitting is the same guy that was Pyle in Full Metal Jacket.

And when I put that together and said, "That's the same guy? There's no freaking way that's the same guy," when I realized that it finally was, I was like, "I wanna know everything about this person, because if they can do that type of transformation..." And yeah, that was his thing for a long time, was absolute transformation from r- one role to another

I hate the overuse of the word iconic, but went through his, quote-unquote, "iconic roles." Man, oh, man.

And just to hear him talk about his method, it was, like you said, Jed, it...

Very reminiscent of Nicolas Cage to me.

Like, when you hear Cage talk about his method, where he's just, "Oh, yeah, I was thinking of the doctor from Metropolis when I was playing the, the guy in, in Moonstruck," and you hear D'Onofrio talk about like, "Oh, yeah.

So, XXX, a new breed of secret agent.

Xander Cage is your standard adrenaline junkie with no fear and a lousy attitude.

When the U.S. government recruits him to go on a mission, he's not exactly thrilled.

His mission? To gather information on an organization that may just be planning the destruction of the world, led by the nihilistic Yorgi.

As Richard B. Riddick? Fucking amazing.
