Xubuntu

The machines I've upgraded, just there's too many things that are broken on it.

I feel like Xubuntu and XFCE have effectively been abandoned.

Don't try and talk to me about that vibe-coded Wayland compositor that's coming any day now, because I'm not interested in it.

And I think that the time has come for me to move to Kubuntu.

But I feel the window of opportunity closing as we go into old stable and best effort patching.

But as long as it still is a recording appliance, increasingly, that is what it will remain because I want the predictability.

Well, my recording and editing machines are still Xubuntu 24.04, and that is not going to change for a good while, I think.

But all my other computers, I think, are going to be Kubuntu before too long.

all of this stuff that i will never get or at least not for the next couple of years while i'm using kubuntu 2604 well done Yeah, not on all my machines, but on, well, I think, Pad, that I'm using a lot, let's put it that way.

And as I will talk about, will have talked about soon, I am very seriously considering converting some more machines from Xubuntu to Kubuntu.

I've died, haven't I? I actually didn't return from my holidays.

I had a plane crash.
