Back in 2001, she served as Israel's ambassador to South Africa.

During these very days in 2001, from August 31st until September 7th, there was an event called the World Conference Against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia, and Related Intolerance that was taking place in Durban.

It sounds like an excellent title, but it brought on trouble for Israel and for Israel's ambassador at the time, Tova Herzl, who joins us today.

Tova, what went on there at that conference?

The Spanish Observatory on Racism and Xenophobia detected nearly 10,000 hate messages online in just the first 48 hours of this event.

10,000 in two days.

That requires a serious coordinated effort.

That's according to the latest bulletin from the Iberian...

That's according to Spain's Observatory of Racism and Xenophobia's latest bulletin.

The observatory, attached to the Secretary of State for Migration, recorded 9,590 hate messages tied to two days alone.

And finally, a woman who is legally settled in the UK was left stranded at a Spanish airport after the Home Office's post-Brexit visa system mixed her up with a twin sister.

In 2001, the UN held this amazing, you know, gigantic, um, confer- that was called the World Conference against Racism, Xenophobia, and Related Intolerance.

Um, the Iranian regime took over the Asia sector of that international conference, barred Israelis, um, from even attending their pre-conference in Tehran.

At the confer- at, at their Jew-free conference in Tehran, they drafted these, you know, they put these draft resolutions out and which ultimately, you know, you see coming out of the UN conference in, in Tehran, in, in Durban in 2001, which are that Israel is the world's worst violator of human rights.
