And they put so much thought into the UI, much more thought than I expected.

I knew it was going to be a bit different because all the clues in in Xcode that we talked about before it was like neither an iPad nor an iPhone it's something new but I still I thought it was going to be like essentially an iPhone with a big screen inside and they've obviously put a lot more thought into it than that with the the toolbar and the tab bar appearing on the right-hand side when it's closed.

And when you open it up, if you put apps on the left, they have the toolbar on the left.

And all these other amazing little details and thoughts, like something I hadn't imagined, but they do that so that when you open it up, what you see on the front is just the same as what you see on the inside.

The app used a custom core ML model to recognize which chip was in front of the camera.

I trained the model in CreateML, the tool that ships with Xcode.

For each of the 24 chips, I took about 20 photos in different lighting, different backgrounds, different angles.

480 images total.

480 training photos and 8-10 hours of create ML, replaced by 24 printable QR codes.

1 line of code to move the camera to the front, 2 timers, 0, 1S for audio decisions, 0, 2S for the sweep, 0 third-party dependencies, a year and a half from toy to MVP, and 3 and a half more years to this retrospective.

Clone it, open it in Xcode, run it on a real iPhone, the simulator does not have a camera.

Print a few QR codes with two digit numbers.

I mean, I think everyone's fine.

It's like, I don't, it is at a point, like I was building another, of course, always building a little app and this one, this little Mac app, but I don't even have an Xcode project for it.

Like I can just add the, you know, the, I can do everything.

So I don't even like never even logged into the, or never even opened the ID for this project.

And, uh, and then I went in, I ate, put the food away- Did some dishes.

S- And all of a sudden my phone dinged because my Xcode is already connected to it, and boom, I had a playable demo by the time I sat down on the couch.

And like it's on my phone on like its fifth build so far, making changes and adding things, and it just, just did it, man.

Uh-

I'm increasingly using tool use throughout various things like Chrome mode.

It'll use, it'll use my, my browser tools.

It'll use computer use and go run Xcode and run iPhone simulations.

It'll play a game on your screen.

That install was way too quick.

That Xcode install, because I think we talked before about, isn't it something like an 11 gigabyte install and it takes forever? So they should probably make that a little bit more realistic.

Just make it sit there for two days.
