It just wasn't really tipped at our scale at the start.

And we started having a chinwag about the boys.

And she goes, oh, yeah, how's Xavier Lindsay? And I went – and Xavier Lindsay is an absolute superstar, a certified superstar.

But last week, first game back since like round five or something, he couldn't get into the game.

I think he had like five touches at the end of the game, which is unheard of for him.

He probably had managed minutes, but he just looked – out of the flow of the game and to start the wild card on the weekend his first like four touches were like a kick on the fall a kick into the man of the mark he got ran down tackle like he just had like this horror patch and i think he built into the game towards the end but to start coming off his really quiet game last week um it was like a nightmare start for the young fella um Anyway, so she goes, oh, that's Xavier Lindsay.

And I think I'm chatting to a fan and I'm like, oh my God, the bloody clangers to start.

They were crazy.

Now, this entry was spoiled by the Ds, but such is his work rate and second efforts.

He pushed forward and crumbed that very spoil off his own kick, and then had the strength to swivel his hips, maintain his balance, shrug off an incoming tackle, and hit up a pinpoint pass to Cotters as both Pickett and Xavier Lindsay were attempting another tackle and a spoil as well.

And then he had another moment in the fourth quarter shrugging off a renowned tackler in Tom Sparrow who I think finished with nine tackles in the end with that signature hip shake yet again and then hit up Harry who, mind you, topped the highlight off brilliantly with a one-handed mark.

Like, talk about becoming Superman and doing it all by yourself.

And, um, I feel like he's really done that this year and I've, uh, I've found the love of the game back and, um, yeah, he's been a fantastic coach and I could only imagine what he would've written to, to some of the young guys that, um, you know, are gonna be superstars of the competition in, in the future that we've got.

You know, Harvey Langford, Caleb Windsor, Xavier Lindsay tonight.

Like, we've got nine guys not playing...

Uh, sorry, playing their first final tonight.

And as I said, we gave up 63 points on turnover, uh, against the Dogs, against a team that don't actually have a, you know, a really-- don't do great for scores from turnover.

Um, and XT, uh, adds run, Xavier Taylor adds run, and I s- expect, um, Xavier Lindsay will get much more time on ground, and I'm backing him in to have a big game along with Langford and Windsor, who were also both well down last week.

Um, we have two all-Australian players in our midfield, a better athletic profile, and if we have run in the legs, we'll swarm them, take away their uncontested marks, and bounce from the back half.

Uh, this is all from my post injury and suspension as hit at a bad time.

There's a couple of other kids there.

Xavier Lindsay came in last week and struggled with his first game for the year, but...

I think they'll bounce back fine, Melbourne.

Now, Carlton have just been fantastic.
