Xaverian High School

I had no plans that summer.

I was in peak physical condition after finishing my junior year on the varsity track team at Xaverian, so I had no concerns about the demands of biking, despite never having previously ridden more than a few miles at a time.

Most appealing, Steve told me that one of the girls who was coming, Linda, also from Scarsdale, was very cute.

I was all in and carefully prepared the case to present to my parents, including my promise to somehow pay them back.
