I'd be delighted.
MaxHOST
27:31
You can use mouse mode to control your skateboarding when you explore Woohoo Island.
MaxHOST
27:35
I didn't know that.
MaxHOST
27:36
I had no

But I was obsessed with the first Switch Sports when it came out in 2022.
MaxHOST
68:04
And I just think this will be another one.
MaxHOST
68:06
And back on Woohoo Island, there's so much fun to be had there.
MaxHOST
68:11
I think Tomodachi Life will stay one, but we'll see what happens.
Brian SheaHOST
22:38
I get the motion controls of this weird remote control-shaped controller and this underpowered system that Nintendo is putting out compared to its contemporaries." But it worked extremely well.
Brian SheaHOST
22:51
And I, I think that with Switch Sports Resort, they are playing off of the Wii Sports Resort side where they're bringing back Woohoo Island, which was, you know, the, the big... one of the big selling points of s- uh, Wii Sports Resort, but they're making it so much more explorable.
Brian SheaHOST
23:06
So I played, uh, three different traversal, uh, mini-games.
Brian SheaHOST
23:11
One was skateboarding, which, you know, pretty self-explanatory.
BoGUEST
7:51
And if you 100% Wii Sports, get all the stickers.
BoGUEST
7:56
I actually don't remember what you have to do, but like you get your face on the blimp and then they actually give you a house on Wuhu Island.
BoGUEST
8:02
It's like a private island right next to Wuhu Island.
BoGUEST
8:05
Then you have a balloon with your face on it and your house is the color of your shirt.
speaker_0HOST
8:09
It's the closest we're going to get.
BoGUEST
9:12
That's actually a really good question.
BoGUEST
9:14
And I think that's super relevant to today, like, super relevant, especially with the new Ocarina of Time, with Mario Kart World, with all of these things, when people are saying...
BoGUEST
9:24
I really like this but I would have liked it so much better if I was like a kid or something and I feel like that's not the best way to judge a game because games are also like for adults and Wii Sport like Nintendo Switch Sports Resort is not just for kids and like sure if you're a kid maybe you'll have like the same memories and stuff but I know 100% I know 100% that the Wii version of Wuhu Island is so much more stylized than the new one and with the new Ocarina of Time we have proof you can have like good looking graphics it's also stylized so the fact that we have the new Wuhu Island and it has like I guess good graphics but it just it has Pokemon game graphics it looks bad The Wii U Who Island actually had, like, style and character in it.
Jeff GerstmannHOST
13:49
But I'm, but I'm thinking that maybe I might let them, uh, get into some tennis this way or some ping pong, uh, some competitive thumb wrestling.
Jeff GerstmannHOST
14:00
Uh, I, I actually came away from it pretty impressed by the three kind of Wuhu Island exploration modes.
Jeff GerstmannHOST
14:07
They've got kind of like a land, sea, and air approach, where on land, uh, you are on a skateboard and, uh, that's a, like a mouse control style thing where we, uh, we were doing it on our pant leg.
Jeff GerstmannHOST
14:19
Uh, but you're kind of, you know, you're, you're skating.
Tom TateHOST
23:59
I know a lot of folks have done that for other digital releases, so just keep an eye out on that for sure.
Tom TateHOST
24:04
It takes place on Woohoo Island.
Tom TateHOST
24:07
This is the setting for Wii Sports Resort.
Tom TateHOST
24:09
There's 12 motion-controlled sports here.
DaliHOST
5:45
specifically right now.
DaliHOST
5:49
They have Woohoo Island.
DaliHOST
5:50
But anyway, so this whole Fizzit stuff is just...
DaliHOST
5:54
This Kojima stuff is just...
Roger DiLuigiHOST
52:44
Make some new sports.
Roger DiLuigiHOST
52:45
I like the concept of Woohoo Island.
Roger DiLuigiHOST
52:47
I like, you know, the weird little sports mates.
Roger DiLuigiHOST
52:50
I have so much nostalgia and love for bowling and tennis alone that if you never want to make another Mario Tennis game and you just have tennis live within sports, I'm cool with that.

Pilotwings, unfortunately, I think has been folded into the sports games, because we now have like all the Pilotwings stuff in Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, where you've got like flying the biplane.
Roger DiLuigiHOST
59:43
That was also the case with Wii Sports Resort.
Roger DiLuigiHOST
59:46
Technically, Pilotwings Resort was also like a separate game on 3DS, but that was also in Woohoo Island.
Roger DiLuigiHOST
59:54
And I consider the sports franchise being the home of Woohoo Island.
EugeneHOST
55:39
Like, it's got everything.
JustinHOST
55:39
Wuhu Island is back.
BrandonHOST
55:40
Wuhu Island.
EugeneHOST
55:42
Yeah.
BrandonHOST
55:42
Yay.
Sir SnorlaxHOST

Let's take a look at Nintendo Switch Sports Resort.

Get moving on Woohoo Island.
speaker_5SOUNDBITE_SPEAKER
70:20
Woohoo! See what they did there? In addition to the 12 sports available, you can freely explore the island, chase dolphins in the ocean, search for hidden hibiscus flowers, and collect Spoko photos to get info on sightseeing spots around the resort.
speaker_5SOUNDBITE_SPEAKER
70:43
Oh,
speaker_2SOUNDBITE_SPEAKER
70:44
yeah.
speaker_2SOUNDBITE_SPEAKER
70:47
A seedy place for a picnic.
speaker_5SOUNDBITE_SPEAKER
70:50
There's a lot to discover around Woohoo Island.
speaker_5SOUNDBITE_SPEAKER
70:53
Plays, jet skis.
WillHOST
59:21
And the other big game was probably Wii Sports Resort when they added the Wii Motion Plus attachment as well.
WillHOST
59:30
And you could explore the whole of Woohoo Island and stuff.
WillHOST
59:34
That game was a blast.
WillHOST
59:35
And then the other big one is IQ Guitar Hero.
