Writing process

And I'm supposed to say hello because I guess that's just cordial.

We typically cover an author and explain what he, she, they began, their writing journey, their writing process, a few books that they'd write, dissect those parts and summarize their biography.

Occasionally, though, like this episode, we cover a book and provide the historical context.

context required to understand what's going on and why it was written and then provide our brief opinion at the end.

So let's chat a little bit how this book was written before we go on.

Since the third part of the trilogy, its publication was a done deal, right? Henrik Sikiewicz may not have fully planned the first two books, but the third was definitely the exception.

Now I'm going to quote Jerzy Maciuszko, who wrote the introduction regarding his writing process.

It will come, like I said, the stories are there, but until it's the kind of level people have come to expect from me, I'm really not going to go into it out there.

How do you

Yes.

So this book was a long writing process.

It's the longest I've ever taken on a book.

It was about five years just for the first draft.
