Uh, there were some that thought perhaps they should have done it at WrestleMania XXIX and saved that god-awful Zeb Colter and Del Rio and Jack Swagger, Donald Trump, uh, on a golf cart nonsense.

But no, in retrospect, it was the absolute correct call to wait till the night after WrestleMania-

I went with Ian to WrestleMania 29.

So shouts to Rob Jopp.

And we went to WrestleMania 24 together in 2008, which was nearly 20 years ago.

And then it set up a, a match for a year-long build at WrestleMania 28.

The Rock goes on to win and then The Rock becomes WWE Champion during that year, and then does the favors for John Cena allowing John Cena to, uh, or, or The Rock does the favors for Cena at WrestleMania 29 and, uh, John Cena wins the championship.

Rock actually got injured during the match and tore a hamstring, and then, uh, Cena becomes champion.

So it was, uh, a give-and-take two-year long program and I think it was ben- beneficial for both guys.

... back in 2013 ahead of WrestleMania XXIX.

They were doing a show in, I wanna say Metuchen, New Jersey, where-

I j- I just visited that place.

I mean, the flipping bout received the full five stars treatment from Dave Meltzer, and even though of course his opinions are subjective, it still goes to show this won everyone over.

It kind of felt like the stage was set for a rematch at the upcoming WrestleMania 29, and instead WWE threw Drew McIntyre in there to make it a Triple Threat.

I'm not gonna complain about that, because that match is awesome too.

I'm just saying, the chemistry between Gunther and Sheamus was so good, you absolutely could have done a single.

Which, I'm not going to lie, I have a few of these that I've collected through the years.

I've got one from WrestleMania 29, which was my second WrestleMania, and it was the John Cena rock match.

And I thought, okay, well, that would be a cool thing.

It was on my birthday, so I just marked out and bought it for myself for my birthday.

They come with a certificate of authenticity, if you want to call it that.

The WrestleMania one specifically, I remember I laugh at it because it has a sticker on it.

It says, I certify this to be from WrestleMania 29.

And it's signed Vince McMahon, which is crazy.

You know what I mean? Just something...

And again, it's not a detail that we need to harp on, but some little subtle... someone's gonna notice it and go ooh yeah you know like the dumbest example I'll give is like I think there was that like Wrestlemania 29 press conference and CM Punk's wearing a Cesaro shirt and people were like oh my god he's wearing a Cesaro shirt

Cesaro's gonna get a push yeah

like you know what I mean stuff stupid shit like that
