Wrapped Around Your Finger

I remember getting it in the mid-10s, and it was like a magic trick.

Record stores are cool and stuff, but sometimes you just want to know what the song is without forsaking it for an afternoon.

What a change in the world that is.

Yeah.

Just being able to know exactly what a song is.

I remember that seemed like magic when that first happened.

Yeah.

That it could somehow hear a song and tell you what it was.

you? Kind of, but the euphemism for that would be...

Wrapped around your finger? Yes,

is correct.

Well, it's a show that's caught on quite well, and it's found a lot of success for good reason, because the show Undercover Boss is going on.

I'm your host, Rose Cress.

Today is October 2nd, 2026, and we are exploring the energy of Tori's cover of Wrapped Around Your Finger by The Police.

Sting, of course, the author of the lyrics of the song, says that it's a spiteful song about turning the tables on someone who had been in charge.

And in his book, Lyrics by Sting, he also says that it's vaguely alchemical, and probably about a friend of mine, a professional psychic, and my tutor in the tarot, with bits of Dr. Faustus and the Sorcerer's Apprentice thrown into the pot.

I can see the dust and illusion.

Turned into a sh- Band of gold.

[singing] I'll be wrapped around your finger.

I'll be wrapped around your finger.
