Me and a few of my peers from that program all decided to go down there for the World Social Forum, which was kind of this alternative left-leaning, very left-leaning alternative to the World Economic Forum.

So what we have here is we have a book, which is a little different than anything we've done before because it's not a nonfiction book.

From its peak as a mass movement that was making headlines with spectacular protests, the legacy of ultra-globalization still remains in the world social forum processes and the global Occupy movements after the recession of 2008.

Unfortunately, the legacy of ultra-globalization's critiques have also been taken up by global extreme right political movements, which have combined the analysis of the harms of neoliberal globalization with racism and reactionary nationalism.

This is a guy who spoke at an anti-Israel boycott, divestment and sanctions conference in Montreal in 2010.

A CUPW delegation attended the World Social Forum, Free Palestine Conference in Brazil.

So all of that was background of why we were in court.

And my lawyer, talking to Mr. Lemelin, said, well, you have resolutions against Israel.

And it was anarchism at various times.

World Social Forum.

Yeah.

Hmm.

You know, meaning it's outward facing, it's not inward facing.

Right.

And I always thought the black bloc militancy; I mean, the reason that I'm gonna sort of insist on a certain kind of '90s world social forum, like perspective, is that even though the anarchists were not that-
