World of Warcraft: Forever

Um, Twitter is abuzz, or was until Asmongold, um, about who World of Warcraft Forever is being made for.

Um, and apparently it's extremely important that people share their opinions, um, and that there be an answer, um, that's not both.

Um, and so I think that... [laughs] Not to put, put, take all the gas out of the balloon right there, but, like, what exactly, um, as somebody who plays a lot of both, do you feel like the game is targeting, Mr. GM?

underrated.

So they're beta testing right now something called World of Warcraft Forever.

And what it is, is it is basically just a return.

They've had all these expansions.

They've had all these expansions.

And with every expansion, you are spanning...

the woke era of the united states so they're they're expanding they're adding new content but a lot of the content was basically developed by people who have a political ideology and so like a lot of media you saw it start to evolve into this thing that original people who played the game didn't really recognize the game got easier the content got a little bit more woke anyway Blizzard, the company, just re-released, or they're beta testing right now, World of Warcraft Forever, which is basically going back to the original game.

what's going on welcome back to call up cockles this is episode 111 wow forever is already out of control yo yo yo welcome back i wanted to circle back with the whole wow forever thing going on so i kind of want to talk about like how wow forever might be bigger than what we thought you know so again what's going on everybody welcome back to another episode of co-op chronicles i'm running solo again because None of my hosts, co-hosts know anything about WoW and they don't want to talk about WoW, but I do.

And apparently y'all really liked hearing me talk about WoW Forever because the last episode I did ended up becoming kind of like one of our most viewed episodes, which is crazy.

So first off, thank you.

Clearly a lot of people are watching this game right now.

The economy is already getting really weird.

Blizzard is already actioning accounts for both botting and RMT, and we're still more than a month away from launch, which is kind of crazy that all this is happening now.

um forever officially launches november 4th with the beta running through what is it um october 21st and before i get into any of that i want to make my position really clear like i'm playing wow forever when it launches uh the part is not really up for debate anymore i'm in after seeing all the stuff i'm doing or seeing all the stuff that i'm watching and stuff i'm really interested in it um What I'm not doing, though, is I'm not grinding beta into the ground like a lot of people are.

A lot of people are like, they have like max tunes, max level.

the other big thing announced at BlizzCon which is the opposite end of the spectrum is WoW Forever which they're like we're announcing WoW Forever and also it's coming out November 4th so like 7 weeks from when they announced it

beta's actually happening today

Yeah.

Something coming out immediately or something never coming out for years and years.

It's the theme of this BlizzCon.

WoW Forever is pretty interesting.

It's like if...

I am, I am WOW Forever's biggest supporter, as you all know, and, and I, you know, uh, it- for the first time in a long time, I blew myself this week.

Uh, big things are coming for games in October.

I left two giant ones off the list [laughs] last week that are coming next week, so we'll definitely talk about those.

And we will talk about actual time that I spent, and Seema spent, in WOW Forever, and a bunch of time I spent in Valheim, which is getting really fun, 'cause I finally made it to the actual Deep North.

So definitely get on that.

If you're doing a whole lot of WoW Forever but you still care about the mounts, it might be worth it to just jump in, hit it with one character.

Maybe you got a healer or a tank you can get in real quick, and then, and then you can log out.

It's a good idea.

We'll, we'll cover a little bit more, uh, when we, when we get to that.

And, um, so yeah.

So today we're gonna be going over, um, some of, uh, like a close look at controller support and what that means in WoW Forever.

Mm-hmm.

Dave, the other thing Christian says, Brandon, Brandon is one of the people who bailed out pretty early on.

Um, The other thing you and I checked out, I don't know what your experience was, is WoW Forever.

And we talked a little bit on the show last week about, maybe last week and the week before, about World of Warcraft Forever.

And I played World of Warcraft back in the day quite a bit for years.

I created a couple different characters.

I don't even think I have my original account anymore.

But I said, WoW Forever is going to be when I'm jumping back in.

And you surprised me.

But just please, I will make my case.

So [laughs] Blizzard announced World of Warcraft Forever.

So BlizzCon happened.

BlizzCon happened, and they announced a bunch of please-don't-lay-us-off projects.

You know.

But they announced a, a, a new fork of World of Warcraft called World of Warcraft Forever, and what it is is, um, it's, it's a new version of the original game that just sort of takes a left turn from everything, and it's like World of Warcraft if the dark portal had never reopened.
