SamHOST
14:53
Yeah.
Fiona WalkerGUEST
14:53
Or maybe you were the first person to see that, but then you've been able to tell somebody else like another local charity or the World Horse Welfare or you've been able to pass it on to the RSPCA.
Fiona WalkerGUEST
15:05
So maybe it doesn't have a direct impact now, and to be honest, and this has happened recently with a case that, that's kind of been in the papers kind of locally, some things are a very, very slow burner.
BethGUEST

BethGUEST
5:18
You can find contact information, phone numbers for other charities that you could contact, the RSPCA, World Horse Welfare, British Horse Society, and there's many others as well.
GeorgiaHOST

5:38

[whoosh] The inaugural Congress Exhibitor Awards, uh, saw Calibra CT win the Sustainability Award, whilst Boehringer won the Space Only Award, and World Horse Welfare won the Best Shell Scheme.
Lucy GrieveHOST

Good job on all of them.
Lucy GrieveHOST

Ros CanterGUEST

Is that, yes, how can we change our riding and change our thought process to be better at what we do to help our horses?
Pippa FunnellHOST
65:27
And that's, um, Roz, exactly the reason why when, when the idea of Talk Horse came up that I really wanted to, to take up, um, the role of co-hosting it with Tristan because, for me, it's, it's something I'm passionate about with World Horse Welfare, with the children's books I've written, that, and, particularly in this day and age, that absolutely we have to do right by our horses.
Pippa FunnellHOST
65:54
And, and the largest ma- majority of us do, and I think it's really important for us to put this message across through the podcast, to tell people's stories, and be able to s- sit here and, and chat to you about your mindset, hear your words of wisdom, Toddy's, Lucinda's, many people in the racing world, and the whole equestrian world because it is important that there's so much good that goes on, and we're, and there's so many horses, but it's still about educating and telling the stories.
Pippa FunnellHOST

And I, and I love every bit of it, and-

She'll have her view on that and also what to do now that TripAdvisor globally is attempting to cancel horse racing effectively.
Nick LuckHOST

Roley Oers, the chief executive of World Horse Welfare, weighs in on that as well.
Nick LuckHOST

Nick LuckHOST
16:56
All right, for more on this, here's Roley Owens.
Nick LuckHOST
16:58
He's the chief executive of World Horse Welfare.
Nick LuckHOST
17:01
Roley, is there anything that horse sport generally can do to counteract the effect of a global policy from a multinational organisation like this?
Pippa FunnellHOST
3:16
So, the, the, the terrain takes a huge part of and huge role within the, the, the challenge of tomorrow's, um, course.
Pippa FunnellHOST
3:26
Then I did a bit for World Horse Welfare.
Pippa FunnellHOST

I'm a patron, so, um...
Pippa FunnellHOST
