World Central Kitchen

World Central Kitchen

Founded in 2010 by Chef José Andrés, World Central Kitchen (WCK) is a nonprofit organization that is first to the frontlines providing fresh meals in response to crises. Applying our model of quick action, leveraging local resources, and adapting in real time, WCK has served more than 600 million nourishing meals around the world. When disaster strikes, WCK’s Relief Team mobilizes with the urgency of now to start cooking and serving meals to people in need. By partnering with organizations on the ground and activating a network of local restaurants, food trucks, or emergency kitchens, WCK serves comforting meals to survivors of disasters quickly and effectively. To support regional economies, WCK prioritizes purchasing local ingredients to cook with or distribute directly to families in need. We know that good food provides not only nourishment, but also comfort and hope, especially in times of crisis. Learn more at wck.org.www.wck.org

ZaydenHOST

He later recalled learning from the Haitian women how to prepare black beans according to their traditions.
ZaydenHOST
62:59
That experience had helped shape an idea.
ZaydenHOST

Biden had the tools to restrain Prime Minister Netanyahu, DiCaro writes, but used them only once, briefly, after Israeli drones killed aid workers from Jose Andres' World Central Kitchen.
speaker_0HOST

That episode showed U.S. leverage worked when applied, but such moments were rare.

DiCaro concludes that Biden's failure to restrain Israel in 2023 and 2024 accelerated the regional instability he claimed to prevent and paved the road to the current American war with Iran.

I don't really know who these one-shots are for or what the overall point is.

Palantir allegedly enables Israel AI targeting in Gaza, raising concerns over war crimes.
Theo VonHOST
62:14
Earlier this month – And this says, allegedly, earlier this month saw a continuation of that effort with the targeting of three well-marked or fully approved aid vehicles belonging to World Central Kitchen, killing their seven occupants and ensuring that the food would never reach those dying of starvation.
Theo VonHOST
62:30
The targeting was precise, placing missiles dead center in the aid agency's rooftop logos.
Theo VonHOST
62:37
Israel, however, said it was simply a mistake, similar to the mistaken killings of nearly 200 other aid workers in just a matter of months.
