Word count

So it is, I mean, you can argue about this till the cows come home and it doesn't really matter.

So I looked at what were the word counts that agents wanted.

And yeah, there was one agent who was actively looking for very short novels or novellas because it kind of straddles that line.

She'll be my first go-to with

I can go to.

Right.

So like you say, know those word counts and know the tropes.

So there are some...

It's interesting.

So some of your blog posts were interesting 'cause you shared a lot about word count, and yeah, definitely go check out Monica's blog.

But you shared a lot about word count, and specifically, I think it was for Star-Crossed Alliance, how it changed over time, and it went up, and it went down, and it went up, and it went down.

What is your relationship, maybe you can share this for the newer writers out there that are just trying to figure out does word count matter, and w- why are we tracking it? So there's two different things.

Sorry, just before you ...

I'm gonna let you answer, but before, when I say that, I just talked about word count being how much you wrote in a day.

This is, like, how much is actually in the book, which is the question that I'm asking.

In my other life, I'm an accountant, so I work with numbers a lot.
