But, uh, that will get even, uh, lighter as we head into the afternoon and evening hours.
Doug MeehanHOST
1:33
We're into the 40s and 50s this morning, 49 in Fitchburg, Lawrence at 49, 50 in Boston, 57 in Provincetown.

Again, we saw some good soaking rain yesterday, uh, beginning as early as 5:00, 6:00 o'clock, and that lasted through all of the, uh, evening and overnight here with, uh, conditions, many spots picking up, uh, well over an inch and a half from, uh, Worcester down through Norwood.
Matthew SaittaGUEST

Um, what's the name of that town? Falmouth.
Matthew SaittaGUEST

A little bit in Falmouth here and there too.
Ben ParkerHOST
3:28
In fact, you don't have to go very far outside of Boston to get under one of these advisories where we will be back in the thirties in many spots and a touch of frost here or there.
Ben ParkerHOST
3:36
Freeze out in, uh, parts of, uh, western Worcester County and out toward the, uh, Connecticut River Valley.
Ben ParkerHOST
3:42
Forty-five in downtown Boston, the low tonight.
Ben ParkerHOST
3:44
Mostly sunny, becoming breezy in the afternoon tomorrow, high sixty-seven.
Kelly Ann CicaleseHOST
17:03
Lots of 40s in the suburbs this morning with an overnight clear sky that allowed our temperatures to fall.
Kelly Ann CicaleseHOST
17:09
Seeing lots of low 40s as you travel a little bit farther westward through Worcester County.
Kelly Ann CicaleseHOST
17:14
Prepare for just a slight chill as you're heading out this morning.
Kelly Ann CicaleseHOST
17:17
Nothing all too bad.
Antoinette AntonioHOST
1:42
Just watch for a little bit of this fog.
Antoinette AntonioHOST
1:44
Nothing widespread, but we're definitely seeing some signs of it along portions of Route 2 heading out into northern Worcester County, and then also as you head down toward the south coast this morning.
Antoinette AntonioHOST
1:53
60 in Boston.
Antoinette AntonioHOST
1:54

I'm from Worcester County in Massachusetts.
Steve RicardoGUEST

And I'd have to say music really started for me when I was a teenager in the mid, like, 73, 74, young teenager, listening to AAF.
Steve RicardoGUEST
3:57
and bands like Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Queen, I really connected with those bands, and I started really Pink Floyd, a lot of English bands, you know, and I really got into it, and I became like a big fan of that genre, but then by the time I was a senior in high school, which is 1977, which was a great year to be a senior in high school, you know, punk started happening for me, and I discovered a couple of WCUW and Worcester and HUS, which was UConn's radio station.

5 MINS LATER

Sean McNallyHOST

And then what's next for Steve Ricardo at that point?
Steve RicardoGUEST

I never had been on an airplane because back then I grew up in like a lower middle income family out in Worcester County.
Steve RicardoGUEST
10:04
We didn't have any money or anything.
Adam FinneganGUEST

So I had heard about it.
Adam FinneganGUEST

Adam FinneganGUEST
3:09
And in the 2000s, around 2000, my mother got sick with Lyme disease and she got really sick for a number of years.
Adam FinneganGUEST
3:20
So I was familiar with it because of that.
Ben ParkerHOST
5:16
There's been some embedded rain.
Ben ParkerHOST
5:18
heavier rains too and some of that rain is starting to scoot across the Massachusetts border so Amesbury for example even Haverhill getting under some of this so there's another line straddling the Massachusetts Connecticut border down along I-84 so that is going to push into southern Worcester County shortly this is not a ton of rain although if you're under some of these downpours it could seem like a ton at the time not everybody's going to get wet but there are showers and line of storms that are pushing through some of the area.
Ben ParkerHOST
5:49
And that line is going to usher in some cooler, more comfortable air.
Ben ParkerHOST
5:53
So as we get later into tonight, we'll have some clearing skies and the humidity will drop.
Kelly Ann CicaleseHOST
1:59
I wouldn't call it chilly, but it's definitely a cool feel, especially with that mist factor toward the coastline.
Kelly Ann CicaleseHOST
2:04
As far as any sun, maybe you see some brightening a little bit here as you move through Worcester County and western Massachusetts.
Kelly Ann CicaleseHOST
2:11
But otherwise, those clouds are really locked in for us today.
Kelly Ann CicaleseHOST
2:14
