Woogaroo Forest

And today on the show, we are gonna be talking about some local environment issues.

We'll hear first about Woogaroo Forest, which is out in Springfield.

It's a patch of, um, land that's been left there, left for animals to freely roam in, and there's all kinds of threatened species there.

But it is now, um, under threat of being developed and all cleared for some lookalike housing blocks in the style [chuckles] of Springfield.

We're sp- I spoke with Kristina Zdenek about that, the campaign to save Woogaroo Forest.

And then I also spoke to Debbie Poynting, who is from the Redlands Koala Action Group, about a campaign that's been going for a while about Ormiston College, which is a private school out there in Redlands near Cleveland, Wellington Point, um, that is currently clearing koala habitat to expand their school campus, and there's been a big community campaign against that, and still ongoing.

And then the last interview of the show, we'll hear from Claire Gronau from Lock The Gate, who have... is gonna fill us in on the state government and some of the very bad bills they have been putting in.

And we might hear first from Kristina Zdenek.
