Woody Strode

Thank you, yes.

And it was Woody Strode was also on that team.

Yeah, Kenny Washington was the guy, though.

He was a star running back at UCLA.

Somebody else who deserves a mention in here for good reason and not for rapey reasons.

is Woody Strode.

He plays the Ethiopian gladiator, Draba.

Woody Strode was actually a professional athlete.

He was a decathlete, even more than that.

And he was a football star.

And he was present for Ford's death.

So...

He's great.

And Woody Strode and Jeff Perry.

Casting by Joanna Ray.

Casting by Joanna Ray.

and mark frost i think did a really good job with that whole thing you're right like that whole the way we were spoon fed more chunks of what happened that night uh that was yeah that was yeah that's positive

and for that matter the reveals with the saint olivin's uh mineral rights thing that i alluded to that was also really cool and played out in a kind of Mississippi burning kind of way you know just like a couple of Yankees you know in the country you know barging into people's business and getting beat up for it you know

couple times I got Kubrick shining vibes and I'll tell you when it was when we saw the picture of Jason Robards and Woody Strode hunting Woody Strode I should mention is in Once Upon a Time in the West if you haven't seen that

movie please

You know, in any significant way.

Actually, it was Woody Strode and I forget who else.

They broke the color barrier before Jackie Robinson.

That's right.

Very successful.

I will just mention one other film which is not necessarily a sex film but has one of the sexiest actresses ever and that's Claudia Cardinale and that was the movie called The Professionals with Burt Lancaster, Lee Marvin, Woody Strode and Robert Ryan and I would argue that Claudia Cardinale in that movie, just from the moment you see her, just exudes sex appeal.

And she was quite, quite a

hottie.

you know so i think

it's a good point that you make you know i mean even john ford who made john wayne a star at one point he made uh woody strode a star And who is Woody? So Woody Strode is a black actor who was a formal football player.

Oh, so he's a star? Because no one's ever heard of him.

Well, he's a former football player.
