So that was the, that one essay I would say was maybe the biggest takeaway from that course.

But what I ended up doing over the next couple of years, um, because I had these really long commutes when I was in nursing school, I listened to many of the Great Courses.

For the listening audience, Kyle has a series of lectures on the great courses, multiple series that I have watched on metaphysics, sci-fi, big questions in philosophy.

I highly recommend you check those out if you have not.

He also has a textbook coming out.

Some people would say I still talk a bit like him because I got a lot of my job.

I have that kind of training.

That's why I can do great courses and that kind of stuff.

in a fairly effectual way, I hope, right? And a lot of philosophers are not trained for that.

I promise this is going somewhere.

One of the things that saved me and the way that I kinda caught up to everyone else in a very short amount of time was I found a suite of education courses called The Great Courses, and these were college-level courses taught by world-famous professors that you would just download.

This is, like, early...

This is, like, 2010s, I guess.

You know, I downloaded them illegally.

But essentially, you could download and take entire college-level courses, and they had a bunch of great music courses taught by Dr. Robert Greenberg, who I kinda fell in love with as an educator.

Essentially binged as much of The Great Courses.

He had, like, 25 classes, so everything from, like, Music 101 theory stuff to, like, history of, like, classical music, opera, Beethoven.

What does it mean? Why is it so cool? Here with Professor Sarah Rugheimer, an astrophysicist at the University of Edinburgh in the UK.
