thinking about the lyrics where they need to go where the bridge needs to be where the rise needs to be that's a real skill so um the the main singles came from songwriters but we were able to write across the album now there were five of us we were very headstrong so we couldn't have people people didn't come and say you must do this and anytime they forced us to try and do what they tried to force us to do something we would reject it that's not us that's not how we want to sound that's not how i want to look uh that's not the feel and yeah that kind of boded us well for where we are now because it was always authentic so we were able to push back for sure yeah so you still love the music you made then which is important still love the music but then also we had to take counsel right because there were people from the record label boss management a and r saying guys you might want to release this song so uh one of those songs would be forever forever went to number I think it went to number six in the national charts for us during the Christmas period, massive.

And then we also had Wonderful Tonight, the Eric Clapton cover.

For some of us in the band, we didn't want to do those songs because we just felt it wasn't really credible and authentic.

But the label said, look, These songs are the ones that are going to take you to the next level.
