Women's and Children's Hospital

Today, I had the opportunity to sit down with Peter Anderson, the recently announced new associate editor-in-chief of the Face Journal.

Dr. Anderson is the head of the Australian Craniofacial Unit at the Women's and Children's Hospital in Adelaide, Australia.

He graduated in dentistry and medicine from the University of Edinburgh, and completed advanced training in both plastic surgery and oral and maxillofacial surgery in Glasgow, Oxford, and London.

He's also the director of craniofacial research, and has a particular interest in craniofacial biology and genetics.

I had a couple of really good experiences as a younger doctor.

So when I was a resident, I was at the Women's and Kids Hospital in Adelaide, which is their major paediatric centre.

And there were Peter Cundy was one of the people there who was really sort of a mentor of mine.

And so I was lucky enough to do two service jobs or resident jobs there and then had a little bit more paediatric experience in my training and just kind of over time I just developed this real interest in hip operating.
