Our guests this week are three sisters who grew up singing and harmonizing with each other in their family, which might not sound so extraordinary until you learn that these sisters are the daughters of Zacharias and Zaria Womack, also known as the legendary duo Womack and Womack.

which also makes them the nieces of Bobby Womack and the grandchildren of Sam Cooke.

Beejee, Zaymani, and Kucha first made their recording debut with their four other siblings on their parents' 1993 album, Transformation to the House of Zacharias, and then they began sharing the stage with them.

You know, and I think it seems like for them, they were destined to be just like their parents were.

So I'll give a little backdrop on Cecil and Womack, who later went as Womack and Womack as songwriters and then had their own artist career.

So Cecil Womack, from Cleveland originally, from a very young age, was performing in a gospel group with his brothers, which included Bobby Womack and their brothers, Harry, Friendly, and Curtis.

Now, at a point in time, they started out doing gospel, but at a point in time, they met Sam Cooke.

They grew up with their parents going on tour at different points in time.

They lived in London, Paris, Amsterdam, Thailand, the Bahamas, Kenya.

They, they they were part of the touring operation they started singing backgrounds with their parents and their and their other siblings uh because there was womack and womack they were part of that and there was also the house of zacarias which is kind of a family group collective you know and then towards the end of his life in his final tours they joined bobby womack on tour too so they grew up in the business traveling internationally being part of that so it seems like They were on a path to do this no matter what.

As they got a little older, they started kind of finding their own direction, their own voice.
