It actually was, man.

Like it kind of I just kind of put it out on SoundCloud and it sort of did pretty well in my high school in Wolfville.

Like I wasn't a popular kid, but like sort of like got me pretty known around the school and everybody was really liking it.

Author Rachel Reid received the kind of welcome often reserved for, well, hockey stars.

Reid was at Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia this weekend as part of a fundraising event to try to save five libraries in Nova Scotia's Annapolis Valley.

I just saw an opportunity to help, and I just wanted to do it, 'cause, you know, I think that's what people should do when they're blessed.

And while most of us do our best to avoid ticks, Dr. Nicoletta Ferroni is not one of them She and her team have been out collecting them, and breeding them too.

Dr. Faroni is a biochemist at Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, and the director of the Canadian Tick Research and Innovation Centre.
