Wolfram Mathematica

Additionally, I'm also putting up a link to my script, which was made in Mathematica, from which I made these plots.

So everything is completely transparent.

Now crucially, it's not just the sea ice which is behaving weird.

For example, Stephen Wolfram obtained a PhD from Caltech, then left academia to develop Mathematica and Wolfram Alpha.

Or take Jim Simons, with a PhD in math and physics, he eventually started one of the most successful hedge funds in history.

Finally, I've heard it said that a lot of folks actually kind of resent scientists for having this cushy dream job, and look, I get that a lot of jobs are absolutely awful and I should know I've done a few of them myself in my younger years.

Um, and I ended up s- doing a math major instead of a computer science major.

Um, but I dabbled in, in some programming, um, in C++, and then in my math classes I actually used Mathematica quite a bit with-

... which is a mathematical, um, programming language that actually probably set me up in a lot of ways for really enjoying Python in, in, uh, being more of a, you know, dynamic scripting type language.

I used Excel like a little bit in college, but like kind of purely kind of dabbling in.

It was my at-home substitute for Mathematica for like playing around with math problems because I didn't have Mathematica at home.

We had it on campus.

But like I'd never used it for anything, anything that you would use it for in a regular work.
