just a dude he yes he might be like more skilled than your average joe but like it's very, it's a very cool idea to, you know, world war two, of course, Phil wanted this.
Eric GillesHOST
45:15
Cause if you haven't go watch the, the Wolfenstein video, um, like crash landing in Nazi Germany, there's a bunch of experiments going on that are making it.
Eric GillesHOST
45:27
I was like, I can only imagine the cool upgrades you get that you get to steal from Nazis that they're experimenting on and then use it against the, oh my God.
Eric GillesHOST
45:35
god that doesn't that sound cool and it also just looks beautiful and the soundtrack was great like there's just so much about this game that i was like
Josh FinneyHOST
14:36
They've really, really liked the partnership they've got on the Fallout series.
Josh FinneyHOST
14:40
Obviously, they're still continuing to do it because they're going to be working on Wolfenstein next.
Corey DirrigHOST
14:47
Oh, yeah.
Corey DirrigHOST
14:47
Or it's as
JohnHOST

Are you a fan of
Jesse NorrisHOST

section Keys and Stein.
JohnHOST
43:27
It's Keys jangling time, baby.
JohnHOST
43:29
Mm-hmm.
JohnHOST
43:31
Uh, Matt ball, just, just tweeted a little eyes emoji picture of one of the kind of like Mecca hound beasties from Wolfenstein while he was outside what I presume of Bethesda's offices.
JohnHOST
43:45
Like, I don't know if he's outside.
JohnHOST
43:47
machine games offices, but just teasing.
TrevorGUEST
107:10
Um, but yeah, so, so many death mechanics and sake draw.
JackHOST
107:14
Uh, One of my favorite narrative moments in gaming, and this is a huge spoiler for Wolfenstein Colossus.
JackHOST
107:22
Outrageous game.
JackHOST
107:24
They're doing all sorts of batshit crazy stuff in there.
MattHOST
108:13
i'm glad you brought up wolfenstein also because um another death element actually from the first game and that was one of the first levels where it's one of the first games i remember and i know this has been done in other titles but where you actually have to pick uh which npc gets killed from your two partners which carried over and did that second game too if you had a save file so uh that was just such a brutal uh introduction that universe which kind of sets the tone perfectly but that is a gnarly concept again because like my brother said like we have a very kind of white knight trying to do everything right when you play through a game even though these are just you know digitized characters but knowing that you're fully responsible for the death of one of them immediately at the outset was just such a gnarly thing to absorb and uh Yeah, if it's done right, it can really, you know, make for some interesting narrative.
MattHOST
109:10
But I have heard it's popping up more frequently in some lesser titles.
MattHOST
109:16
But again, Wolfenstein, the way they did it.
MattHOST
109:18
And yeah, that scene in the New Colossus was absolutely amazing with the public execution of BJ is leading to him becoming even more powerful somehow.
Gary ButterfieldHOST
46:45
Really seems like it's gonna be a serious lieutenant.
Gary ButterfieldHOST
46:47
I was thinking about, like, Wolfenstein.
Kae RossHOST
46:49
Mm-hmm.
Gary ButterfieldHOST
46:49
Uh, but no, for...

15 MINS LATER

Gary ButterfieldHOST
61:56
Um, the Nazis have dug up something in a cemetery near the catacombs.
Gary ButterfieldHOST
61:59
And I was like, "Oh, shit."
Kae RossHOST
62:02
Wolfenstein, baby.
Kae RossHOST
62:03

Luke HebblethwaiteGUEST
28:50
It might be a little bit, but it might be a 15, I suppose, or, you know, but I probably shouldn't have been playing.
Luke HebblethwaiteGUEST
28:55
I think, you know, you look at the time, you know, I remember playing Doom, right? It's one of my favorite games, even Wolfenstein and being actively scared by it, you know, as I played it, you know, just a few years before and sort of feeling like, you know, as a kid, your imagination is, you're sort of, you know, far more lively in that sense.
Luke HebblethwaiteGUEST
29:11
And so, you know, I'd found Mortal Kombat to be a real thrill.
Luke HebblethwaiteGUEST
29:15
You know, it was totally different from anything I played before.
Cody JohnstonHOST

Citizen Vigilante generated some controversy after it was denied a rating in Germany for being so openly Islamophobic there were fears it would promote violence, which effectively meant it couldn't be screened or sold in that country.
Cody JohnstonHOST

Trump's little Wolfenstein sidekick Elon Musk posted the whole film on X, the racist robot masturbatorium, as a form of protest against the woke mind virus or whatever.
Cody JohnstonHOST
48:21
And MAGA chuds have embraced it as a symbol of right-wing resistance against censorship.
Cody JohnstonHOST
48:26
This is coming from the same political movement that regularly demands that talk show hosts be taken off the air for making jokes about Charlie Kirk and or the president.
George ElrodGUEST
14:38

You know what?
Damian AnayaHOST
14:52
Yeah, is it Steen? I used to, yeah.
Damian AnayaHOST

In terms of a campaign, like a shooter campaign, I know you like the Doom games and you've played the old shooter now and again.
AppsHOST
14:04
How does... campaign evolves campaign stack up to more modern stuff like a doom or like a Wolfenstein, even going back a little bit further.
AppsHOST
14:14
Did you enjoy the overall story, gameplay, the package itself?
BiffGUEST
14:21
Yeah, I think it's actually done really well.
BiffGUEST
14:23
I mean, with things like Wolfenstein and Doom, they are, I mean, just a bit of a head fuck, really.
BiffGUEST
14:32
Because, you know, if you play it late at night and you go to bed, you have fucking nightmares because it's like being on crack or something.
BiffGUEST
14:38
And this is a bit more varied.
GabrielHOST
48:45
I mean, it's very questionable that, but he's a dad and he's very powerful, like very, it has a very high rank.
GabrielHOST
48:52
in the corporation so yeah good morning good morning then I'm going from low rank to highest rank so so I have five like number four could be BJ Blazkowicz on Wolfenstein So as we all know, we play with his twins in the last title of the saga, which literally got me half empty because it just stops what seems to be a finishing act to get to another one.
GabrielHOST
49:31
It's like the ending of the game.
GabrielHOST
49:36
and cliffhanger like from six years ago so i don't think we'll we just got thrown off a cliff but yeah the game is like you you play with the twins and you need to find your dad that went on his own crusade to france uh to liberate france and um got into some issues and then you end up um finding him in in and yes it's really epic the moment that you find
