Stay to the end to find out how we get there.
D'nkytehcHOST

Today we're talk-- today we're talking about an application called The World of Books.
D'nkytehcHOST
0:08
The World of Books is something that you can, you can use as like a side hustle.
D'nkytehcHOST
0:12
You can go around and find books and other likenesses to be able to scan the barcode and then be able to send them in to the company, and then they'll be able to brand and package them for you and then sell them and drop the money into your account if you find them scattered about because books tend to be different places, and it's a different home.
D'nkytehcHOST
0:29
I mean, it's a new home for old books is how they sort of brand and market themselves as a way to just pick up a few extra little bit of cash, uh, because of basically their system which makes it easy to just bring it to the mailbox after scanning it through and sending it along free of charge to get paid more or less from it.
Andy GriffithsGUEST
47:58
Um, and I've given it to so many people.
Andy GriffithsGUEST
48:01
I get secondhand copies off, um, World of Books.
Luke BatemanHOST
48:04
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Andy GriffithsGUEST
48:05
A great place.
Joe DevineHOST
18:04
I can't think of that many films that would still cost £14 to buy after 10 years.
Adam RichmondHOST
18:11
I got it for about, I think, four quid secondhand from World of Books.
Adam RichmondHOST
18:16
Shout out to World of Books.
Adam RichmondHOST
18:17
Sometimes they throw in a voucher.
Joe DevineHOST
18:19
The question in our modern era, and I'm not sure that I know the answer, what I think the answer is to this.

uh feeling represented by the film seeing themselves in it going through those sorts of experiences you know i i talked the other day about going to see that documentary um about the ex norwich player you know one of the things that the directors said in their q a afterwards that they were most proud of was the notion that there were all of these young people who were either estranged from their families or hadn't come out and weren't sure how to do that, that came to talk to them after seeing the film to express how much it meant to them for seeing it.
Joe DevineHOST
64:04
And I wouldn't dream of speaking for the director, but I imagine, given the experience of making the film and the experience of his life, that that's an important part of it.
Joe DevineHOST
64:15
So in that sense, whilst I'm unaware of its availability in the States, it's a shame that it is... inaccessible in that way here not if you can buy the dvd from world of books now it was four million dollars brackets estimated what about opening weekend us and canada october 23 2016
Kira LeeHOST
36:56

Malachias GaskinGUEST
37:05
Yeah, it's on Amazon, Walmart.com. It's on Books A Million.
KenHOST
29:25
But for you, if I'm buying two CDs, wait, I could just get another CD.
KenHOST
29:30
You know how the popular example for this is World of Books, right? Like 2 plus 1, 3 plus 1, something like that.
KenHOST
29:36
And it's so easy to add that.
KenHOST
29:38
The friction is so smooth on that because they're all booksellers.
Paul EnglishHOST
53:47
I just put the Amazon link, but there are other places.
Paul EnglishHOST
53:50
World of Books, which is literally just-
John BriggsGUEST
53:52

Liz GebhardGUEST
19:11
And then when the right time came, I had to reach out from the CEO of World of Books.
Liz GebhardGUEST
19:17
And we'd had a personal relationship previously at Amazon.
FidaGUEST
11:24
You just put in the reps on other brands.
FidaGUEST
11:26
Um, and then that brand will open back up again and then you can sell again or again you have other outlets like you said you can send it to to max you can send it to world of books we've actually been seeing a lot of people have really good success on ebay recently uh in mike's discord group so you know there are other ways to make money uh amazon is the best for media but it's not the only way like if you have to um get rid of those items there are other outlets yeah you're not going to make as much money but you can still you can make money like you can still make money
MikeHOST
11:56
If nobody resell dude, then, then there'd be no podcast because everybody would quit.
MikeHOST
12:00
And then it would just be me and you talking to ourselves.
Laura CunninghamHOST
23:39
