WNDE

All right, let's take a break.

When we come back, Don Stuck, indie radio legend from The Bob and Tom Show, Q95, X103, WNDE.

He's been around forever.

A beloved Hoosier institution, great musician as well, and now kind of a big-time actor.

Got on at ZPL for a minute in 1988.

And then I saw...

Oh, I can't remember his name, but he's walking down the hall and I knew he used to work at WNDE, which led me to believe that there was an opening at WNDE.

I started pounding.

And I looked at that and I said, boy, I really like to work there.

So I. I sent them a tape, and I was promptly hired by the AM, WNDE, right down the hall, and so I was there for a year, and then we all got fired, ironically enough, for a satellite-delivered radio show, and Tom and I kind of hit it off the air, and he had a wonderful dog named Elvis, a beautiful golden retriever, and we kind of hit it off there, and I'd always wanted the dog, and So I started being their booth announcer, kind of a part-time thing.

And then Mark Patrick actually was doing sports initially, and then he went left for North Carolina.

And they asked me, do I know anything about sports? And I said, not really, other than the NFL, that's about it.
