WNBA Finals Most Valuable Player

I think, you know, I'm going to let you answer all these questions.

I think Wimby wins his first MVP this season.

I think he's the best player in the world, and he'll have the trophies to back that up when it's all over with.

Who wins the NBA title? I just told you mine.

One way or another, that's going to be fun to talk about and follow, the Timberwolves.

I don't know if they'll win the NBA title, but I can appreciate the prediction.

Who's the MVP?

Okay, this is another one where I'm going to go.

I know

Um, how, what, what would it mean for Angel Reese in year three to be a WNBA Finals MVP?

Everything.

[laughs]

Is it James Harden hitting a, a buzzer beater three in game seven of the NBA finals-

With zero turnovers [laughs]

... and then holding the, the, the tro- the, uh, the, the WNBA championship trophy and the WNBA Finals MVP trophy after hitting a clutch shot in a game seven, and just being like, "Hey, I seen everything y'all said about me on the internet.

Now look." Is that it?

That's my official pick.

Here's my WNBA Finals MVP.

Uh, Gabby Williams.

How do you not pick Gabby Williams? Which, who by the way, used to be on the S- or the Sky fumbled, literally drafted her.

Uh, look at you now.

Look at you now.

Uh, give me-- the, that's my prediction is, is Valks in seven, Gabby Williams WNBA Finals MVP.

Give me the under in every game.

She has three of them.

And even though [clears throat] she was a two-time Finals MVP, she essentially was the best player in all three of those championships.

And now she's a five-time All, five-time MVP, something that only a few players have seen in the NBA I used to always say Maya Moore was my GOAT.

I thought that Maya Moore, even in the little time that she had, because if you really look at the totality of her career, it wasn't that long.

I cannot wait till we hoist that trophy.

I have decided there is nothing I want more in sports right now than Angel Reese [laughs] to wi- to be the WNBA Finals MVP.

I mean, it ain't that out of the question.

It's unlikely.

Mm.

They're...

Seriously, GP, you get to pick one thing in sports that could happen over the next few months, Angel Reese WNBA finals MVP, to me, is the funniest thing that could happen.

Our GOAT's back on the court tonight at State Farm Arena.

She rings the bell and taught the rest of us to look up.

And now, fans, at this time, welcome back to the sport, a true legend of the day, a two-time WNBA champion, a two-time WNBA Finals MVP, a three-time WNBA MVP, a four-time Olympic... gold medalist, and a time WNBA All-Star, a basement Hawaii basketball Hall of Famer, and the first player in WNBA history to dunk in a game.

And now, the newest statue honoring her legacy and forever the standard of excellence for this franchise, your L.A. sports legend, the first lady, Lisa Leslie.

And now guys, we'd also like to welcome onto the court former teammate of Lisa Leslie at USC and former assistant coach for the L.A. Sparks from 2002 to 2003, also Lisa Leslie's best friend, Carlene Thompson.
