PhilHOST
42:04

AidanHOST

Winsor & Newton Raphael 807 size two, best brush you'll ever buy, if you can find it in stock anywhere.
AidanHOST
42:18
It's, like, the, it is the workhorse of most Golden Demon painters.
Amy Lou JenningsGUEST
42:43
It's actually on a per colour basis.
Amy Lou JenningsGUEST
42:48
So all my paints are either Winsor & Newton or they are Mike Harding and there are certain special colours that Mike Harding produces which I think are better than the Winsor & Newton equivalent but as an artist I also have to look at cost and so Winsor & Newton are a very economical way of doing very high quality colors but I do find probably 30% of my palette is Mike Harding equivalents because he does seem to get more chroma into his colors.

Yeah I've just started purchasing Sennelier recently and I haven't started using them yet but it's because certain colors were available that I haven't haven't seen before because we don't have the same art shops in north wales as you will have in london so that's why i kind of buy things as a an opportunistic purchase when i see them and think ah there we go uh you know a rose of some sort you know so i'll get a rose but it'll be so i'm curious to see how that compares to windsor and newton or michael harding you know
Amy Lou JenningsGUEST
44:00
yeah yeah i mean in windsor and newton i always use permanent rose instead of alizarin crimson It's slightly less harsh.
Amy Lou JenningsGUEST
44:29
And my carding, it's more oranges.
Amy Lou JenningsGUEST
44:33
I use cadmium red light rather than cadmium red.
Amy Lou JenningsGUEST
44:37
I find cadmium red way too intense, but cadmium red light isn't available by Winsor & Newton, so I go for a Mike Harding equivalent.
Amy Lou JenningsGUEST
44:46
And manganese violet is a wonderful colour for night paintings, but Mike Harding is the one that does the best one.
BronnieAUDIENCE

Rose WylieGUEST
10:33
It didn't have little pla- uh, pl- It, it wasn't a child's paint box.
