Winona Fighter

I'm glad you reminded me because I had it in my notes, but I skipped through it because I got distracted.

Winona Fighter is great.

I met them at Riot Fest 2024, I believe.

This song came out and it's emotastic.

It is.

It's great.

And that is really like what wins me over every time.

So I'm listening to a lot of Honey Revenge and a newer up and coming band that I've been paying attention to is called Winona Fighter.

And they're also, yep, they're also female-fronted, and they really embody, you know, the punk ethos.

And they've got great riffs.

She has an incredible voice.

And their songs are catchy as hell.

So, like, those are, again, two that I've been listening to a lot on repeat have been Honey Revenge, Winona Fighter.

Fabulous.

What I will admit is a selection of bangers called Songs to Listen to in a Wendy's parking lot.

They got guest vocalists from well-known bands, Maddie Mullins from Memphis Mayfire, Chloe Kennan of Winona Fighter, Shane Toll of Silverstein.

Is it Silverstein or Silverstein?

Silverstein, I say.

She's 11.

We went to see, well, she wanted to see Winona Fighter, this kind of pop punk band.

I think they're based out of Nashville.

I think they're West Coast now.

[laughs]

Then I fucking, emails earlier, I seen one come up, and they're called Winona Fighter.

Yeah.

And that's rubbish.

You know what it's like?

That, that, yeah, that doesn't work.

It, it's like when you're like with your mates and it's like, it's a bit too late and everybody's had a bit too much of everything, and like, you're like sitting around making jokes and you're going like, "Oh yeah, Jodie Foster." And then somebody goes like, "Oh yeah, Pill Murray." And one, one, like your other mate goes, "Moni Jitsu." And you're like, "Yeah, banger." And then like your mate that's had like too much and like [laughs] just goes, "Winona Fighter." And you [laughs] and everybody doesn't laugh.

Oh, yeah.

And if it is like sort of a new wave element, I mean, that's a good way to go.

yeah and then also in that sort of melodic punk you know uh terrain if that is your bag uh winona fighter have announced their second album uh brutal and extremely underrated um let's be the judge of that i don't know but that's out in uh january of 2027 january 22nd uh so if you enjoyed the first with the debut Winona Fighter album that came out last year I think then the second one is not too far away and you can look forward to that so there you go tour wise new music wise actually no before we get on to that I do want to briefly mention fucking bring me the horizon this week not only Oli seemingly still out to injure punters by jumping on their heads which I saw some fucking insane crowd filled videos that was a

big leap that was a big leap from him because there's a barrier at the first so he is like clearing a photo pit like I know

but Seeing a camera video of, you know, someone just filming the stage and then suddenly Oli starts full power and the person filming is like, ah! Like, you shouldn't laugh to some degree because I think, you know, you could seriously injure someone that way.

And look, Warped has good bands playing.

I love Winona Fighter.

They played last year.

They're playing again.

All right.

But I, you know, I also like, I have this, there's this punk rock band out of, uh, Nashville called Winona Fighter.
