Winnemucca

I said, photo op? Yeah.

I said, when is the last time she ever went to any of these horse prisons? When have you been to Winnemucca? When have you been to Reno? I've been to these horse prisons, and I'm going to speak from experience.

Prison is a place that nobody ever wants to be.

And people say, oh, they have all this room.

So what brought you to Nevada?

Well, the reason we're here in Winnemucca, Nevada, I think mostly is because Katie was raised here.

And so she worked here for a few different vets before she went to college and through summers, you know.

And when she graduated in 2015...

So we hauled everything that we had, our horses and dogs and all the stuff from Colorado back to Northern California.

And then Katie got a job offer from one of the vets who used to work for NWMACA.

So we moved back to Winnemucca for that.

And then after two years of working for Dr. Ross Zimmerman, she decided she was gonna open her own vet clinic.

Not nationals.

Area one was back in Winnemucca.

So that's who's listening to us.

You know, we have... a hundred or so in Winnemucca and in Ely, Nevada.

And it's just, we're pretty well sprinkled throughout the desert.

El Paso's in there.

We work closely with the major railroads on grants with the Federal Rail Administration.

So we've got some grant work going on with the railroads in Elko and in Winnemucca.

And then of course, many people here have heard about Brightline.

Small little project that is still moving forward.

Rural transit.

Now our partners at the RTC in northern Nevada, Washoe, and also in southern Nevada really handle all the transit within the urbanized area.

But we'll do things like in Elko or Winnemucca, the smaller communities around the state.

So we help sustain that.

It'll be fourth down and nine to go for the Irish.

And Jim D'Arieta, the Irish putter from Winnemucca, Nevada, comes into the game.

Averaging 34.5, he's an economics major.

Kind of a crosswind over the left shoulder of the putter D'Arieta, kicking from south to north.

So they knew what a lack of reliability meant.

It meant that you've just driven to Winnemucca for three days, paid your hotel, eaten hotel food, and you've got zero for it.

Because if your dog, you know, fails one exercise, you NQ in the whole thing.

And to me, numbers is everything because that's how we know whether we're training or not.
