Wings Event Center

I've just learned growing up and here now that you're gonna sit in it, and hopefully you don't have a big game planned for like the first snow of the year because everybody's gonna like bundle up and not come out to the game, and then you're gonna have a blizzard and everybody's gonna be there like two weeks later.

[laughs] I wanna, I wanna go back a little bit for, so you talked a little bit about the Wings Event Center and-

Yeah

... h- how it's gonna be the last season.

We're gonna be out on the road for the first week and a half.

We're gonna come home on October 30th for our home opener.

That match is the same date as the first game in Wings Event Center history back in 1974.

And then we just did a promotion this week where we put out the first 1,000 tickets for $4.50, the same price that it was in 1974.

And so that project's been going on for three years.

We open next October, so this is our final season in Wings Event Center.

So I've got, I've got those two things for now, and I made a deal with myself years ago when I got my coaching certificate, which was when I turned 50 in June of '28, then I was gonna kinda reevaluate what was next.

So that's what the next year and a half-ish looks like, al- um, year and a half, little less than two years looks like for me, and then we'll see.

So, Curse, they have a few days off after finishing in Japan, but actually only four days.

And then they are in the Wings Stadium.

Let me get this right.

In Kalamazoo, which sounds like it should be in Australia, but anyway, in Kalamazoo, if I pronounced that correctly, in Michigan, they're on there on the 26th of June in this wing stadium, as we said.

I'm gonna have to look at the schedule and, 'cause we, at, the wife and I were talking, we, we wanna make it to a game.

Well, well, in the ECHL still, this is the final season of Wing Stadium in Kalamazoo, 'cause they're moving to the new Western Michigan Arena, where the Broncos will be playing.

We wanna go to Kalamazoo one last time because that building has so much history in it

Jay, do, no lie-
