Windham Hill Records

What about from Hedges forward?

Well, from Hedges forward, I mean, I, you know, I mean, Alex DeGrassi, the whole Wyndham Hill kind of thing.

I was still, I, when that emerged, I was only semi-aware of it.

I was too busy breaking into studio work, raising kids, and, and really focusing on my own compositional artistic self.

Right, exactly.

But guitar impressionism, which is closely associated with players like Alex Degrassi, William Ackerman, and the whole early Wyndham Hill record scene, it treats the guitar almost like a piano.

Interesting.

Instead of standard tuning, players like Walters would tune the strings to open highly resonant chords.
