And so to have this piece about Michael that she can like show her kids and pretty special.

While Teeth to the Wind is being widely celebrated by the climbing community, for Drew, that celebration is complex without Michael there to share it with.

And yet, the opportunity to capture people in these raw human experiences keeps him going.

Teeth to the Wind, it's funny.

Like it makes you happy to film and feel like there, I could have focused on stuff that was like, I mean, the mountains are scary and dangerous and stuff could have focused on that.

But this was more about like more of a reason, like why we do it.

I think no matter who you are as a human, you're going to connect with like things that are real.

We were gonna go down and get some different food, but that, like, everybody who knows who's done, gone through the night, like that pitch black, you know dawn is coming in the next half an hour, but the who- your whole body is like, "Oh, I re- you've put calories in me when I didn't want it, and I am so tired, so..." But we, but we were privileged with the most incred- nobody, we didn't see a soul up there.

Windy, but not...

You know, I've been up there in a snow storm, so it was like [laughs] that was, that was a dream.

We were dressed up like little, um, cocoons, like buffs and hoods up and stuff, and then as the sun comes up within half an hour, we are absolutely pouring with sweat and really, really warm.
