I used to love my job.

I was a watchman at a wind farm.

All I had to do was make rounds a few times a night to make sure no one was messing with the wind turbines.

I would read a lot of books, and eventually, if I got bored, I'd bring my portable DVD player and watch movies all night.

That makes a lot of sense.

I never thought about that with wind farms that birds and bats are already pretty different.

Yeah.

So why not generalize more? That's interesting.

So it's not that we were out there alone, but it was really nice having Barley out there is the point.

We were surveying kind of between six and 12 turbines a day.

And with those 100 meter by 100 meter plots, depending on the vegetation height, that can take us anywhere from like 10 to 30 minutes, which is faster than some wind farms.

I've talked to other people on either, you know, because they've got a bigger plot or because they've got tougher vegetation.

Soluna just announced a joint venture with Applied Digital to develop a 50-megawatt data center at its Dorothy 3 site near Silverton, Texas, powered by Soluna's 150-megawatt Briscoe wind farm.

Chronoscale, an AI cloud firm majority owned by Applied Digital, signed a non-binding letter of intent for a triple net lease at the site, and Applied will hold a 51% share of the project company and provide development capital versus Soluna's 49%.

To unpack all of this, we have got Saluna CEO, John Belizer in the wings.

And that has been a tremendous amount of work, a tremendous collaboration with them.

And we're pretty excited about this partnership.

So it seems very obvious to me with the Briscoe wind farm, 150 megawatts nameplate for that with all of the stuff, as you said, we're seeing happening in Texas, clear benefit there for applied digital to be able to secure that power from saloon aside, what is the logic for structuring this as a JV and what synergies are y'all getting out of a partnership like this, rather than just going a hundred percent into your own project?

Yeah, so that's a great question.

to help launch their first project in Ukraine.

And that project is a 124 megawatt wind farm in Ukraine.

And we're very proud that we managed to pull it off, this project.

Also, it has some unique features for the Ukrainian market.

So we have made the decision before recording this that we're going to sit and record it.

So presumably those decisions you're making all the time as to whether you can go to a meeting or whether you're not going to go to a meeting and so on, extraordinary working array and extraordinary circumstances.

So you've done your first deal, which is the wind, the NOTUS wind farm, 120 megawatts.

You've done a second deal.

One of the wind farm boats, ships that is involved in active construction of a wind farm apparently had a medevac.

And we followed the entire event.

drama and the coast guard actually announced on the radio on channel 16 which is for mariners that the eta of the medevac would be there in 10 minutes if it can make way past the wind farms Now, this is the third event.

You've heard me talk about this before.

We have the mistress that went down in 2019.

Then a week and a half ago, we had...

I remember

that conversation me and you had that with the possible hurricane in the northeasterner, the big swell could have just taken the boat and knocked it into those wind farms.

55% nationally.

Um, are we blowing our chances of rain away? There are growing concerns that massive offshore wind farms could actually reduce rainfall onshore.

And one of Australia's biggest proposed projects is now in the spotlight.

A new German study has found large offshore wind farms can alter regional weather patterns, with some areas potentially seeing 10 to 12% less rainfall.

This whole offshore wind is beset by drama and this is the latest.

That's got Australian researchers asking questions about the proposed $8 billion Star of the South project off Gippsland, which would have 147 turbines about 11 kilometers offshore.

And so that's the challenge.

And I think Saluna here highlights, remember, they've got their own 150 megawatt Wind Farm in West Texas.

And that is close to where Project Dorothy is, which is going to be one of their flagship data center sites, Project Dorothy 3.

That's going to be a 300 megawatt potential site there for them.

And having that wind farm behind the meter power supply there will continue to give additional optionality for Salooner.

Yes, they're also connected to the grid so they can use grid power.

But when we were at the site itself, for seeing the operations there for Dorothy 1 and Dorothy 2, we were told that on good months, you could have up to 80% of wind power supporting those data centres.

And on a bad month, 50%.
