But the point that I was making to them is, in the modern day, uh, if that Aberdeen team came along as well, Willie Miller would be off after two years.

You, you, you, the fact that Aberdeen held onto Willie Miller for the best part of 15 years is incredible.

Willie, a decent game there for you, Willie, Dundee against Motherwell?

I thought it was very decent.

So that's the thing which I'm just a little bit tired, bored of, I suppose, is probably the word.

But coming back to Jack Milne, um, yeah, I mean, it, I think it was Jonathan Northcroft recently who invoked the ghost of Willie Miller.

Willie Miller's not dead either, same as Martin.

Um, but t- speaking about, um, overly confident defenders or center halves coming up to take penalty kicks to, um, to poor effect like Willie Miller missing in Berlin all those years ago.

Uh, fair facts to Jack Milne.

He, he stood up and he was sixth penalty kick against Celtic at Hampden in the semifinal where we lost, and he put his hand up to be one of the first five last night as well.

This is a massive moment you feel, especially given his side were down to 10 men for such a large part of this match that went into extra time and penalty kicks.

Let's get a quick word with Willie Miller and Rory Lloyd.

And Willie, that penalty shootout, how do you sum it up?

Well, three...

So it doesn't always go down well with managers, that type of penalty.

So I, I, I think the fact it went in and they've won might save hi- save himself from getting a bit of an ear bashing off Steven Robinson.

[laughs] And yet, Willie Miller, I think you said in commentary, what confidence from the player, and it was great to actually see a player play with that confidence.

Yeah, absolutely.

It was, it was actually when the times when you still did Facebook Lives.

Anyway, long story short, ended up talking about Willie Miller, uh, at which point Tommo blurted out, "I'm a big fan of Willie's." At which point we corpse-

... and that was pretty much the end of the podcast.

I mean.

The thing is with the guy, he definitely evolved over time as well because my memories of certain things and even now, talk to Willie Miller and Willie's like, by the way, that used to be all the time.

You know, so it was like, there's definitely an evolution.

But the thing that made, and it goes back to what I was saying before, if you're just getting that constant without anything else, and Frank will tell you this, at some point you're going to rub folk up the wrong way and they're going to switch off.

Uh, he went from Aberdeen, where he was the best goalkeeper, one of the best goalkeepers in Europe.

Um, but Jim Leighton had, uh, Willie Miller and Alex McLeish in front of him.

He had a proper defensive midi- midfielder in front of him, and he was maybe having about three or four shots a game to, to save, which he did pretty well.

Uh, went to Man United, it was a shit show.
