Don't forget, on Sunday at 11 o'clock, the VFLW team is playing in a grand final, going for three in a row.

So, yeah, against Williamstown, a tough game against Willie.

They just got over one against Port Melbourne last week.

And hopefully, and it's going to be a big challenge against Williamstown, who finished on top of the ladder.

They actually touched us up last time we played them.

But in terms of the result on the weekend, I think it's probably...

the right one in the end, the way the season has played out, that we've got the grand final that we do because even though they had to work for it, Williamstown got through after this game on Saturday afternoon, beating Port Melbourne by a couple of points.

Yeah, I heard a little rumour that maybe this result was impacted marginally by some sickness in the club.

So they copped it a bit, came into this one.

It's so wonderful to see her finally get up when they're on that stage and get to hold that one.

She's finished pretty high in the count for a few years running.

She's been a champion of Williamstown for such a long time.

She put in a mountain of work in the pre-season with men's player jake greiser which you'll hear her speak to in the interview that's coming up but um i'm just so pleased for her uh she's a good person she's worked really hard i know that we joke that um she got thrown under the bus and she was meant to come on the podcast but then um bailed on us all in good fun because she is genuinely just like so passionate about williamstown so passionate about the vflw um so it's nice to see her win this one

Emily Eaves, I'm rapt for her.

I think she's won the last three Williamstown BNFs, and I wouldn't be surprised on October 2 when we attend the BNF at Williamstown if she makes it.

four in a row hopefully um she might even be a premiership player by then as well um and her background coming from Sydney New South Wales I actually had the um pleasure of actually meeting her dad in 2023 when I went up there for a AFL Sydney game between um St George and um Eastern Suburbs University New South Wales her dad's involved with that football club um the Eastern Suburbs University of New South Wales and you know she's obviously very happy at Williamstown so you know I'm going into her fifth year or sixth year next year so hopefully you know maybe she might even get a look in at the AFLW draft next year.

We can only hope.

It was a really good story, as you mentioned, of the VFLW, that she won the award.

It's going to be a massive game.

We've got probably the four best teams in both competitions playing.

Werribee North Melbourne versus Williamstown.

The other half of the ground we're going to block off.

Yeah, it's an interesting one, isn't it? It's one of those ones where I would have thought, you know, Box Hill's got a very, very good record at Williamstown, and Williamstown have got a good record at Box Hill.

And when Williamstown had that situation back in 2011, I think it was, when they were getting refurbed, they played their... final out at Box Hill because it was a ground that they said was very similar to Williamstown apart from obviously the Bree side of things with the water next door and all that sort of stuff but I would have thought that playing You've got a venue like Williamstown or even Casey Fields.

Yeah.

It would have been a better option considering you wouldn't have been limited with parking and crowd.

You've got, you know, Coburg had a fairly good year, so Jack Bytel you couldn't rule out.

He'll be up there.

And Greiser's had a good year at Williamstown as well, so that would be massive if Jake Greiser won a list at, what, age 30, 31?

Definitely not.

Then we had Essendon v. Williamstown.

Essendon got the win 96-51.

Surprised by the margin.

Yeah, I was, I was, I didn't expect it to be a blowout the way it was.

Obviously the week before Williamstown were looking very, very good until, uh, you know, the last quarter Colton had a bit of a flyback, but yeah, Williamstown really faded off late there.

Unfortunately, um, Yeah, and lost 96-51.

The next one we had was Port Melbourne v. Sydney.

Werribee, who unfortunately came on the wrong side of their qualifying final against Box Hill.

Williamstown bowing out yesterday.

Jeez, they had a fantastic season.

And the Cats, well...

Like, gee, he was good for the broadcast.

And, you know, great footballer, great Hawthorne man.

The sides that went out yesterday in the elimination finals, the Bombers by 45 over Williamstown at Windy Hill and Port Melbourne by 55 over the Sydney Swans.

Obviously, we'll focus more in on Williamstown here.

We'll have to wait and see how that does all play out.
