So all the things are great that could be, that could come out of it, but in the end, the intention, the, the motivation for me now is I get to spend time just me and him before anything else starts.
28:34
I, I couldn't agree with you more, and, uh, it's very, very rare that I use an alarm clock anymore.
28:40
And, and that may be because of shrinking bladders, who knows? But [laughs] but it, p- you know, my wife, who's a stronger person than I am, it takes at least one round on the snooze button.
28:54
It doesn't matter.
28:55
And she's a night owl.
28:56
So I, I do think there's a wiring thing.
28:58
But, you know, the ex- using the excuse of I'm just not a morning person and by the time I get going, the world's already spinning, and I don't have time for a routine.

37:33
Thank you.
8:36
So what would you like to begin to share your insights with? Would it be the habits of exceptional leaders first or fit-based function?
8:45
You know, e-either one, Rishad.
8:48
I think the, uh, the interesting thing in our work is, um, uh, you and I have talked about this before.
8:56
When we did have a break during the, during the lockdowns of the pandemic six years ago now, we had a chance to drop back and say, "Okay, who are the very best people we've ever studied, ever gotten to work with? Who are the most talented?" And we keep incredibly detailed notes, so we know, you know, who interviewed well, who's doing at their job well, who's been promoted.
9:16
And we did a longitudinal study of the people that we think are just the, the best performers out of the hundreds and hundreds of thousands of people we've met over the years.
9:23
And what we, we found them.
9:26
We were able to identify them, and we said, "Do they have anything in common?" And I kinda thought it would be they all had an IQ of this threshold, or they were tied to a well-connected family, or they'd gone to a prestigious university.

11 MINS LATER

20:28
Um, today, you know, what are some of the things that you would say from your days of being a pastor and from being a man of faith that people can either learn from or take comfort in as they navigate this new world of AI and uncertainty?
8:40
[laughs]
8:40
Be here a long time.
8:42
I, uh...
8:43
Thanks, Ken.
8:44
Really, really grateful to be with you guys and for what you do.
8:47
You've done excellent work for so, so long.
8:49
And, uh, for those of you wondering, w- we, Ken and I aren't longtime friends.

32 MINS LATER

40:51
Yeah
19:37
Can you give us the rundown? What are these 12 lanes?
19:39
Yeah, sure.
19:40
We can start with the fast because it's my favorite.
19:42
But the fast is people who respond and respond quickly and love doing it.
19:47
I probably ought to be in therapy.
19:49
If you text me, it really doesn't matter what time of day it is.
19:52
I'm probably looking at it.
23:57
Could you share one that's maybe surprising? Like folks say, huh? That's a strength? That's a lane I can lean into? I thought I was just weird.
