William Roache

So i- it's a treat, the job.

Bill Roache, I mean, how old is he now, for goodness sake?

I think Bill's 96 now.

Gosh.

I could see why Karun wants efficiency in his car as well.

But, um, I have a little bit of a reverse answer to James's question in that it was, it was a strange thing i- in a way, which is that, um, uh, the actor Bill Roache, who, who has famously played Ken Barlow in Coronation Street for 170 years.

[laughs]

He lived in Wilmslow, where I grew up.

Yeah.

'Cause of course, he had, you know, was quite famous for being, his character being the sort of very straight, very sensible.

He, he, uh, uh, Bill Roache famously sued The Sun, I think, for accusing him of being boring.

But you know, that was sort of his image, was he, he was a sensible guy, nicely side-parted hair.
