William Nightingale

Florence Nightingale was born after hanging out for around nine months creepily close to this one woman's vagina.

On May 12th, 1820, 1920, 1820, that's just 100 years difference, 1820 in Florence, Italy, her parents, Francis and William Shore Nightingale, Frank and Bill, were on an extended honeymoon and named their daughter after her birthplace.

Her parents went by Fanny and William, not Frank and Bill.

But I think of them as Frank and Bill.

There is a genuine Nightingale connection to Pleasley.

Now, Florence Nightingale's father, William Edward Nightingale, acquired property and land at Pleasley during the 19th century.

the Nightingale family became significant landowners in the area.

There's even a long-standing tradition that Florence Nightingale herself ceremonially turned the first sod when work began on Bleasley Colliery in the 1870s.
