And I'm sort of interested in a way is what caused you to go back to your hometown to set a novel in at this stage of your life?

Yeah, well, all of my books are really generated from the idea of a place that has meaning to me.

And my first book was set here in Los Angeles, the city of Angles, it's called.

And it's set mostly in the homeless population in Skid Row.

And then my second book, which came out last year, is called Blue Earth River.

And that is set in Minnesota, where I lived for 14 years and where I went to college and met my wife.

So this one, Fell's Point, is set in my hometown where I grew up.

And so the reader is, um, you know, you're exploring, um, his psychology, um, and his beingness, uh, it through the lens of the structure of the book itself.
