How'd that come

about? Paul actually came to me and he had read the story.

it's a true story about a guy who there there's a war.

Um, and this is a recent events, really, really ugly situation.

And he's got family trapped, um, behind let's just, without going into a lot of details behind enemy lines.

And he goes in to rescue the person.

And he's actually a, not in the service anymore.

What would you say were the challenges in production that, um, that came up to you, you were able to overcome?

How did everyone come on your radar?

Monica Garrett and Daniel Bernhardt.

They were long on my radar before I ever met them.

LaMonica, I got to work with on Osiris.

Got very lucky to have him on board in that.

I'd seen him in 1883.

And Lioness, big fan.

But as co-writer of the script, how much of the fight choreography, without spoiling anything, is actually written out versus you're reading the vibes on the set?

And, and again, it's, it's gotta be a tough thing to film.

It is a tough thing, but I mean, like, we get...

Again, I go back to it.

We have actors who are passionate about what they wanna do, and put in the work as much as, and gave...

You know, we gave them as much time as we could afford, but it's still, um, it, you know, a fraction of what, um, a, a big giant movie would cost, uh, uh, would get.

And, um, we, we just surrounded ourselves with really smart people, and that's, that made it easier.

And the more prepared we were, uh, the better everything went, so.

Yeah, and, and William, in creating this, uh, this world for them, I mean, that, that you know that's gonna inform their characters.

Yeah.

And both, both sides have an argument, right? And I think any time...

It's kinda like our world.

Any time one of us thinks the other, other side has no argument- Um, we're being kind of naive and we sit there and, and, um, I've got someone very close to me whose algorithms are feeding them one narrative and it's an opposite narrative than I have.

And I got to remember that my algorithm is based on me now.

And, and to remember that social media and all this stuff is about money and they don't Instagram Facebook, none of these make any money if they don't keep us engaged.

And so they, they, you know, it's much easier if we all hate each other.

I don't wanna give 'em away, but they're, they're pretty good.

He had an idea, basically the same idea, but it was in a different war zone.

And it was in what I believe to be a way more controversial situation.

It was based on a true story.
