William Devane

Your mashup actor is Burt Devane.

So Burt Lancaster, William Devane is my guess there, but, um, what year was the, the movie?

1953.

Holy cow.

And it's wonderful.

William Devane turned up.

William Devane.

Yeah.

And where are you, Marta Keller? Marta Keller.

the movies this

week.

Yes, well, I picked Dustin Hoffman, Roy Scheider, William Devane, and Laurence Olivier.

Do you know who they were? No.

William Devane.

Remember William Devane? Sure.

And Fred Dreyer.

Fred Dreyer almost

Yeah.

And it stars, of course, William Devane, finally, seeing him in a role where he's there in the whole movie, which is great.

He's had quite a lot of things under his belt.

We'll come back to that.

revenge film.

Somebody tries to steal from...

Somebody steals from them and the rest is him going out to get revenge in the way that only William Devane can deliver.

Yeah,

And I could not help but think I looked like the guy from the buy gold and silver ad.

And some people thought I meant William Devane.

No, there's a guy named Robert Kiyosaki.

Okay.

Yeah.

And then also, apparently, they had originally intended William Devane to come back as President Hayes, but he was filming, there was just a filming conflict, and he couldn't make it, so they're like, Oh, okay.

And then they usually thought, okay, maybe Kinsey's president, but they need Sam to not hate the president when she first meets

him.

He's turning into, oh, that's a good comp.

Mine was William Devane.

Yeah.

I was like, don't we have William Devane? Mm-hmm.

Well, it blew my mind.

He's great, though.
