John Milbank was my outside reader for my dissertation.

I don't know if you know the name William Desmond.

William Desmond is a continental Catholic philosopher.

Amazing.

Um, but so here's what I want to say to you.

But it's a dense little thing that you will get a lot of stuff out of.

I mean, and the blurbs on the back, geez, William Desmond, Martin Beeler, Adrian Walker.

Adrian wrote a great forward to this thing.

And by the way, this podcast has been delayed many times for various things, but it did give me an opportunity to finally read through the entirety of the book, which is really good because, okay, so first off, before we get too far, you've done this before in a previous podcast, but I want to do it again in case there's new listeners.

The law is not everything.

What this immediately made me think of was our class with William Desmond in talking about the metaxological.

In other words, the, the masculine orientation, and again, don't, don't really think men, women, just two orientations, is the law is everything.

That really is Catholicism and Protestantism.
