For nearly 20 years, Ger has been a foundational bedrock for Baltrae's elite senior cup and Barton Shield panels, but 2026 was the year he completely blew the doors off the Irish amateur circuit.

A Castle Blaney man and a dual sport GAA athlete in his early years, he later built a long professional career as a credit union CEO before becoming a cornerstone of Athlone Golf Club, serving as secretary, captain and now trustee.
